Futsal Foxes

The San Joaquin kit fox is native to Central California.  Known for their agility, energy, quickness, mobility, and intelligence the kit fox is the perfect mascot for Futsal209. 

 

Kit foxes live in a den and tend to be nocturnal.  They were once a thriving species in the 1930s but the federal government listed them as endangered in 1967.  We hope having the kit fox as our mascot will help bring awareness to this amazing animal that is native to our part of California.  For more information you can click on the link below to visit the California State University, Stanislaus Endangered Species Recovery Program web page.
